Kim Ply - SimPly Fit Wellness

Kim Ply is the founder of SimPly Fit Wellness and a passionate advocate for holistic health, with over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry. Her journey began in the 1990s, teaching step aerobics, kickboxing, and strength classes while earning her degree in Elementary Education from UNC Greensboro.

Although she spent years in the classroom, her true calling remained in wellness—helping others feel strong, balanced, and at home in their bodies. From teaching and managing group fitness to launching her own TRX-focused personal training business, Kim’s work has always centered on simplicity, connection, and sustainable well-being. In 2018, she became a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach with a specialty in Ayurveda and completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, deepening her integrative approach to health.

In 2021, Kim began leading wellness retreats that blend movement, mindfulness, and meaningful community, starting with her first retreat at the iconic Grove Park Inn. That initial experience opened the door to retreat travel around the world—including Costa Rica, Greece, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Sedona, and both the mountains and beaches of North Carolina. Through her coaching, classes, and retreats, Kim believes wellness should feel joyful, supportive, and accessible—not overwhelming. When she’s not coaching or retreating, Kim enjoys walking her dogs, volunteering with a local rescue (puppy yoga, anyone?), and continuing to deepen her yoga and meditation practice.
